OVERVIEW
This 13-month tear-off planning calendar offers ample space for recording your plans for the entire year. Great for use as a desk blotter or hanging on the wall, this calendar includes many Catholic and secular observances, liturgical colors, holydays of obligation, feast days, and more. It runs from the First Sunday of Advent until the last day of the civic calendar year. The liturgical days on this calendar are taken from the Liturgical Calendar for the Dioceses of the United States of America, published by the Secretariat of Divine Worship, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Celebrations proper to the dioceses of Canada have also been included. The Roman Catholic titles for each day are given, along with the citations of readings for Mass, the liturgical colors, and other Catholic observances, such as First Fridays and Catholic Schools Week.
The quotations on this year’s calendar are the antiphons for seasonal responsorial psalms.
In recognition of the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, this year’s calendar includes the Nicene Creed.
