It was incredibly difficult to choose just four because every story was a beautiful example of community, inspiration, hope, and love – in the true spirit of Jesus. Our CPS team is grateful for the opportunity to learn more about what makes each school special, unique, and treasured. You are all truly inspiring! We are so honored to serve this community.

Christ the King School Fort Smith, AR
This elementary school’s story of hope, community, and resilience is inspirational. After being faced with unspeakable familial loss in their community, they let HOPE be their guide. Here’s just a little bit of their submission:
“Hope has been what has gotten us through. Hope for the cross, hope for heaven, and hope in humanity… Our community has a tagline of ‘One Team, One Dream,’ and we continually live that out by serving each other and acting as Jesus would. Our little school family is one we are immensely proud of and again, it is because we have HOPE!”
Christ the King School has also been recognized as a Purple Star School for its dedication to supporting and serving military children and their families.

Highland Catholic School St. Paul, MN
Congratulations to Highland Catholic School from St. Paul, MN! This clever community came together to develop a “Top 10 List” of reasons why their school is filled with HOPE. Check it out!

St. Francis De Sales School Philadelphia, PA
These teachers have answered the call, and are sharing their amazing gifts with their students and the school community. Here’s the submission from the Principal:
“I am so inspired by our teachers on a daily basis. They know that teaching is not a job, but a mission and a passion. They do so many extraordinary things! They purchased clothes, food, and supplies for needy families, and just the other day we received word that three children from Afghanistan were coming to our school. Immediately, the teachers volunteered to buy their school supplies. So these children will start on Monday with uniforms, school bags, and school supplies. What a lesson of love, God’s love, to these refugees.”

St. Nicholas School Sunman, IN
We’re also thankful that St. Nicholas School in Sunman, IN shared their “small schools are a family” theme with us, and that’s why they’re our final CPS Leadership Award winner! Here’s what they had to say:
“Our staff collectively inspires our students. Since we are a small school (184 total students, PreK-8) each staff member knows every student by name. We encourage them, challenge them, care about them, show concern for them, and share our faith with them on a daily basis. While they all have one homeroom teacher, they actually have 23 teachers/staff that consider each of them ‘our kid.'”
