Cristo Rey High School
Located in Columbus, Ohio, Cristo Rey High School has a long history of dedication to their students. Emphasizing the values of a Catholic education, Cristo Rey strives to instill confidence, character, and compassion into their graduates, who leave well equipped with the skills needed to continue their journey to college and beyond. Cristo Rey partnered with CPS, as well as KI Furniture and designer Kate Pfreim, to help refine their vision for the future of their school. CPS completely renovated their cafeteria, as well as select hallway spaces, ensuring that students, faculty, and staff of Cristo Rey would have a facility that meets their needs and supports them in their mission for years to come.
KI was a great choice for this project as they have resources all over the country and were equipped to provide the expertise needed for this renovation. CPS worked virtually with KI and Cristo Rey to bring the entire project together on time, despite the distance, and in doing so displayed the vital communication skills CPS considers absolutely essential in serving our clients. CAFETERIA
MyPlace Booths, Athens Booths, and Cafe Height Serenade Gathering Tables create plenty of eating areas, while custom upholstery in Cristo Rey’s school colors of light blue and maroon inspire a unique culture of school spirit and sense of community within the student body. The cafeteria is also versatile as a dining, study, and event space. Tables on glides allow for collaborativeness and flexibility, perfect for bringing students together, and leaves the room more open for events. The modular furniture allows for easy reconfigurement while still supporting the quantity of students for lunch and events in the cafeteria.
Hallway Lounges
CPS and KI transformed this hallway space into a dynamic, comfortable area for students to socialize and work quietly. Athens Round Tables, MyPlace Booth Seating, and MyPlace Round Ottomans provide comfortable seating, in Cristo Rey’s signature blue and maroon school colors.
